OVERVIEW
Upon your arrival at TIA, you will be immediately transferred to your respective hotel. On the second day, you will take a one-hour long flight to Nepalgunj. And you will again take a short scenic flight to the beautiful village of Jumla. Once at Jumla, our real trekking begins. Alongside the bank of Tila Khola, the trail passes through the settlement of Uthugaon. And proceeds towards Danphe Langa 3130m via the Khali Lagna Pass.
Crossing suspension bridges and beautiful waterfalls. You will continue your trek through the forest of pine and rhododendron and reach Chautha. Spend some time to learn the prevalent culture and traditions in Dhotu and finally embark on the road to the Rara Lake Route. Its serene blue water in the midst of the Himalayas will certainly amaze you.
Along the way, you might encounter wildlife such as musk deer, leopards, and wild monkeys residing in the Rara National Park. After exploring Rara Lake, you will slowly descend towards Ghorosingha crossing meadows and lush vegetation of Ghatta Valley. Once at Sinja, you can visit the large temple at the top of the village dedicated to Bhagwati who is believed to be the goddess of justice. From here, the descent continues until you reach Jumla from where you will take a flight back to Nepalgunj and then to Kathmandu. On the 14th day, you can go sightseeing around Kathmandu valley. Which finally indicates the end of your 15-day adventurous trek.

Today you will be landing at the Tribhuvan International Airport, Kathmandu. Upon your arrival, our staff member will receive you with a warm welcome and transfer you to your respective hotel. Overnight in Kathmandu.
Early in the morning, you will take a short flight from Kathmandu to Nepalgunj. It is a scenic flight of one hour above the hills and mountains. Located at Nepal-India border in western Nepal, Nepalgunj is a sprawling metropolis. During daytime, you can visit local market, try local foods and get familiar with their unique culture and tradition. At the evening, a proper rest and discussion about the trek ahead would be an ideal choice. Overnight in Nepalgunj.
Leaving the Terai plains of Nepalgunj, you will fly towards Jumla. The flight will mostly take place during the morning. On the way, you will get a glorious view of several snow-capped mountains and green hills. After a scenic flight of 20mins, you will reach your destination. Jumla is a beautiful gateway for those trekkers who want to explore the desolate Karnali region. You can also take a short hike around the valley and take photographs. Overnight in Jumla.
Early in the morning, you will start your trek towards Danphe Langa. Alongside the banks of the Tila Khola, you will first march towards the small village of Uthugaon. Along the way, you will cross wide fields, pine forest and suspension bridge over the Chaudhabise Khola. The trail now passes through the village of Padmara from where a steep climb to the top of the ridge takes you to Khali Lagna pass at 3550m. You will finally reach Danphe Lagna after a gradual descent through the forested area of pine and rhododendron. Overnight in Danphe Langa.
Following the water-driven stone mills, you will head towards the settlement of Kabra. As you move forward, you will walk past beautiful forest of fir and walnut and get the view of huge rocks, which is consider the source of Silajit. Silajit is a mineral having the healing properties. Once you reach Bhara village, you will stop for a quick lunch and photographs. From here, you will reach Chautha descending through the hills and valleys. Overnight in Chautha.
After breakfast, you will continue your walk towards the village of Dhotu. In the first hour, you will walk ahead admiring glorious views of mountains and green hills, which takes you to the Rara National Park entrance station, Bhulbhule. From here, along with the lush vegetation and natural flora and fauna of this region, you will climb gently towards the Ghurchi Lagna pass at 3450m. Finally, you will reach Dhotu dropping down through the forested area. Overnight in Dhotu.
Today’s trek is quite adventurous. Soon after breakfast, you will start your trek towards the majestic Rara Lake. Before reaching the village of Jhyari, you will cross-river stream and few suspension bridges. As you continue your walk through the forest of cedar and fir, you will get a stunning view of the Rara Lake along with several snow-capped mountains looming over. You will finally reach your destination after a walk of three to four hours. Overnight at tented camp.
Today you will explore the premises surrounding the Rara Lake, the largest lake of Nepal. Surrounded by the Himalayas, you will certainly be mesmerize by the deep blue serene waters of Rara. The wilderness of lush vegetation and natural flora and fauna along with the thrive of wildlife such as Himalayan bears, Serows, Gorals, Musk Deer, Red Pandas etc. has made this place a heaven in Earth. You can also take a short walk around the lake area and take photographs. Overnight in Rara Lake alongside the riverbank.
On the 9th day, following Nisa Khola, the trail goes towards Murma. Crossing river stream and beautiful waterfalls, you will walk through the forest of pine and rhododendron before reaching the Ghatta Valley. Leaving behind mesmerizing Rara Lake, you will get a breathtaking view of Himalayas and surroundings. Once at Ghatta Valley, you will slowly ascend towards Ghorosingha by walking past narrow steps and meadows. Overnight in Ghorosingha.
After breakfast, you will slowly descend back to Ghatta Valley from Ghorosingha. From here, along with Sinja Khola flowing on the edge, you will move forward crossing some sloppy landscapes and fertile lands. Walking past several farm villages and forested area, you will finally reach the Brahmin and Chhetri village of Sinja. Sinja was a historic place back in 14th century as it was the capital of Malla dynasty in western Nepal. Overnight in Sinja.
Today you will be trekking towards Jaljala. After crossing the wooden bridge over Sinja Khola, you will ascend towards flat valley from where you will get a glorious view of Himalayas. Along the way, you will cross the forests of pine, rhododendron and oak. From here, the trail is steeper as you will walk past narrow zigzag paths, which finally leads the way towards Jaljala Chaur, a huge meadow. Along the way, you can visit the Kanaksundari temple as well. Overnight in Jaljala.
Today you will be flying from Jumla to Nepalgunj. Once at Nepalgunj, you will have a quick lunch and immediately take another flight to Kathmandu. After reaching the capital, you can take a short drive to Nagarkot or Godawari from where you will get an enchanting view of the hills surrounding Kathmandu. Overnight in Kathmandu.
Today is a leisure day in Kathmandu. A local guide will be assigned, who will take you to the famed UNESCO World Heritage Sites like Pashupatinath, Swoyambhunath, Kathmandu Durbar Square and Boudhanath. You will learn the ancient history at the golden age. At the evening, you can roam around Thamel area, buy souvenir and enjoy its nightlife. Back at the hotel, you can celebrate the completion of your 15-day trek with your friends. Overnight in Kathmandu.
Today is your last day in Nepal. We will drop you off two hours prior to your scheduled flight. You can even share your experience with us on the way to airport. Goodbye and Thanks!
