Joining a fixed group departure is the easiest way to trek in Nepal if you are travelling alone or as a couple. You join a pre-scheduled group, share a licensed guide and porter, and pay the standard per-person price — there is no need to wait for a private group to form.

Solo Travellers — Join a Group
Can I join a group trek alone? Yes. Every fixed group departure is open to solo travellers. You will share a guide and porter with the group (one porter for every two trekkers) and share a twin room in the teahouses.
Do I have to share a room? Teahouse accommodation is twin-sharing. If you want a private room, a single supplement applies — for the Everest Base Camp Trek it is US$295.
How big are the groups? Group size is 1–20 trekkers on the Everest Base Camp Trek, and 1–10 on the Everest Base Camp With Heli Return trek.

Deposit and Cancellation Terms
An advance deposit is required to confirm your booking — 20% of the total trip cost under our Terms and Conditions. The rest is paid on arrival in Nepal, before departure. If you cancel 20 or more days before departure, the trip cost is refunded in full (bank transfer charges are not refundable). If you cancel less than 20 days before departure, the 20% booking deposit is not refundable, and any costs already paid — permits, domestic flights, hotels and government fees — are deducted. The exact deposit shown on the booking form for your trek applies at the time of booking.
